Welbis Ortiz ’07

Trader at Viking Global Investors

As a member of the Equity Trade Coordination Team, Welbis is responsible for the non-execution aspects of equity trading, including confirmation and allocation of equity cash, program, and derivative transactions; supporting traders; and compiling and disseminating intraday market updates to investors. Before joining the Equity Trade Coordination team, he worked in Wellington Alternative Investments as a Business Associate (2015-2017) working closely with the health care long/short equity portfolios. Welbis began working at Wellington Management as a summer intern in the Equity Trading Department in 2014. Welbis earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Boston College in 2015. Before that he attended the Noble & Greenough School and he is a proud graduate of the Class of Zipoli 2007

Alden

Alden Abad ’04

Assistant Project Manager at J Calnan & Associates

Alden Abad was born and raised in Boston to first-generation immigrants Ramon from the Dominican Republic and Olga from Peru. He attended Boston public schools until being admitted to Nativity in the 5th grade. Alden graduated with the class of Ngabo (‘04) and received full scholarships to attend both Noble & Greenough High School (’08) and Bates College (’12). Alden received his B.A. degrees in both Economics and Philosophy. Since then, he has had the privilege of working for State Street Corporation, Brown Brothers Harriman, Wellington Management, and is currently an Assistant Project Manager at J. Calnan & Associates. In his spare time, he and his brother, Alwin Abad, continue building the two firms they co-founded, called GOODDESIGN (graphic design) and ABADABODE (real estate investing).

Hudson

Hudson Evei, ’96

Senior Vice President – TCW Private Credit

Hudson graduated from Georgetown University, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Finance. He earned a Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. Before stepping into his finance career, he was a teacher at Nativity. Hudson is currently a Vice President at TCW Private Credit, has started his nonprofit, InFaith Community Foundation, and serves as the Board Chair at Nativity.

Jeremy Rodriguez ’17

Dartmouth College ‘25

Jeremy Rodriguez, Class of O’Callahan ’17, attended Noble Greenough School where he was the recipient of the James M. Ritvo, Class of 1964 Award for Social Justice, and captain of the track team. Jeremy graduated from Noble Greenough School in ’21 and currently attends Dartmouth College majoring in Cognitive Science with a minor in Data Science. Jeremy’s dream is to pursue research in machine learning in healthcare. Jeremy’s hobbies include powerlifting, and he is currently the captain of the powerlifting team at Dartmouth College.

Christopher Cene ’17

Boston College ‘25

Christopher Cene, Class of O’Callahan ’17, is a proud 2021 Boston College High School graduate. Chris is a dedicated student at Boston College majoring in Finance and Financial Management Services. During the Fall semester of his junior year, he studied abroad in Lisbon, Portugal, at Nova School for Business and Economics, a top-ranked business school in Europe. Chris spent the summer at the Pittsburgh offices of BNY Mellon for their 2024 Summer Internship Program in Accounting, gaining valuable knowledge and experience in the Asset Servicing and Global Institutional Accounting functions. Chris believes that his faith and the support of significant people in his life have played an essential role in the opportunities he’s received.

Anthony

Anthony Docanto, Ed.D. ’11

Principal, Boston College High School

Anthony Docanto, a proud graduate of Nativity Prep’s Class of 2011, first discovered his passion for education through summer camp programming, evening study, and close relationships with his teachers. After Nativity, he attended BC High, where he founded the Cape Verdean Student Association and was active in the Black Latino Student Union. Anthony earned a B.A. in Applied Psychology and Human Development, with a minor in African and African Diaspora Studies, and an M.Ed. from Boston College, where he received the Excellence in Teaching Award in 2021. He went on to earn an Ed.D. in Leadership and Learning in Organizations from Vanderbilt University in 2026. Anthony has dedicated his career to education, beginning as a teaching fellow and later serving as a social studies teacher and soccer coach at Nativity Prep. He returned to BC High, where he served as a social studies teacher, Head of Pro House, and Vice Principal of Student Life.
